Care Guide

Routine Cleaning

Clean glazed tile with warm water and a mild, pH-neutral cleaner.

Avoid abrasive scrubbers, scouring powders, and harsh chemical cleaners, which can scratch or dull the glaze surface.

Glazed Tile

Variations in glaze color, texture, pooling, and movement are natural results of hand application and kiln firing.

For regular cleaning, use a soft cloth, sponge, or non-abrasive brush.

Crackle & Crazed Glazes

Some glazes naturally develop fine surface lines known as crazing. This is an intended characteristic of certain finishes and is not considered a defect.

Avoid strongly pigmented, acidic, or harsh cleaning products on crazed surfaces.

Unglazed Clay

Any exposed clay may absorb moisture and develop subtle changes in color over time.

Avoid harsh cleaners and prolonged contact with staining materials on unglazed surfaces.

Installation

Tile should be installed using materials and methods appropriate for the surface and application.

Because handmade tile varies slightly in color and surface, we recommend laying out the tile before installation to distribute variation naturally across the space.

For installation requirements specific to a tile or application, contact contact@nathangoffstudio.com before installation.
